Cheryl Hines
Cheryl Ruth Hines grew up near Tallahassee within Florida. She was born in Miami Beach on September 21, 1964 to Rosemary (Graham), and James Hines. She attended West Virginia University, Florida State University and then graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida. After studying theater and TV production at Los Angeles, she realized that she was a comedian had never really understood until she studied there. The first instructor she had was Lisa Kudrow. The actress began learning to improvise, and then sketch comical sketches. Her experience helped prepare her to play Larry David's wife in HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). She is comfortable because the dialogue in this situation comedy is all improvised. She still performs at the Groundlings Theater every time she gets a chance.
